Last 1st Day

This time four years ago I had just moved to Seguin and was days away from my 1st semester of school @ TLU. Fast forward to today and it has been a whirlwind of experiences. Tomorrow is my last 1st day of my undergrad career. I'm excited and anxious. Excited to learn and anxious to get started and do well. The prospects of what I'll learn in field this semester seems to line up perfectly.

At Camp Fire, the majority of my work will be at a macro level of service. Grant writing, program development and organizing, etc. Though an individual component will be included, for the most part the day to day work will be more focused at the organizational level. That's exciting to me because my desire is to establish a non profit one day so getting the exposure now to some of the core pieces of an organization is exactly what I need. My previous experience and future study in the Masters program in clinical social work will equip me with the individual level skills that I want to further develop...this internship this semester will provide the skills from other side of the spectrum that I need.

The semester is going to fly...I'm ready to get started...I'm ready to finish...I'm ready to jump into grad school...and finish that too!! I'm ready to move forward. But I can't look too far forward yet...I still need to focus, one day at a time!

The best is yet to come!
