Gratitude part 1

My friend Chantel posted a blog the other morning about a few things that she was thankful for...I like that...I think it is important to remind ourselves of these things because it is easy to lose perspective...there is a ton that I think of immediately and instead of listing them all off at once I think I'll highlight a few of them on a couple of blog posts instead..

That is a picture of Wrangell, my home here in SE Alaska. I love this place. I live here...I'm not just visiting...that fact is still strange sometimes and some moments that realization hits me. It has officially been home for 7 months now and I can't imagine being anywhere else. I love the people. I love the community. I love the work I do. There have been challenges since moving here and Wrangell is a whole different way of life, but it is beautiful and knowing it is where God has called me makes the hard moments worth it.

On a sunny day there are few places that are prettier in this world. You can see the beauty of creation constantly. I'm excited for the plans that God has here in this community and I'm blessed to be here and invest all that I can.

So today...I am thankful for Wrangell. My little island community that I get to call home. :)
